The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – Original Soundtrack accompanies the 2021 Marvel Studios Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, directed by Kari Skogland. The original score was composed by Henry Jackman, known for his work on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and various other Marvel and blockbuster projects. Jackman expands established motifs from the Captain America films while introducing new thematic material that reflects Sam Wilson’s journey, Bucky Barnes’ legacy, and the series’ blend of action and character drama.
The soundtrack was released digitally in two volumes via Marvel Music / Hollywood Records.
- Volume 1 (Episodes 1–3) was released April 9, 2021 and contains 31 tracks, featuring score cues including Louisiana Hero and action themes from the first half of the series. f
- Volume 2 (Episodes 4–6) was released April 30, 2021 and contains 26 tracks, continuing Jackman’s score through the finale of the series.
In addition, the single “Louisiana Hero” was released March 26, 2021 as the end-credits theme for the series.
Jackman’s music blends orchestral action, thematic continuity, and character-driven moments, integrating elements of blues and electronic textures tied to Sam Wilson’s background and the diverse settings visited in the series. Licensed music note: While the score albums focus on original compositions by Henry Jackman, the series also features source songs and diegetic music in episodes that are not included on these official soundtrack releases.
