Alien: Earth (Original Soundtrack) accompanies the 2025 science-fiction horror television series Alien: Earth, a Alien franchise prequel created by Noah Hawley for FX and Hulu. The original score was composed by Jeff Russo, an Emmy-winning composer known for his work on Fargo, Legion and Star Trek: Discovery/Picard; his music for the series blends eerie orchestral textures and experimental elements to support both atmospheric dread and character-driven storylines within the 2122 setting.
The soundtrack album was released on August 12, 2025 digitally via Hollywood Records. It contains 27 original score tracks with a total runtime of roughly 91 minutes and is available on major platforms including Apple Music and streaming services. A vinyl edition via Mutant is scheduled for December 2025.
Russo’s score is atmospheric and immersive, using orchestral layers, voices and unconventional instrumental touches to reflect the psychological unease and alien tension central to the series, while echoing tonal connections to earlier Alien scores without directly quoting them.
Licensed period and rock tracks — such as songs by Black Sabbath, Tool, Metallica and others — are featured in episode endings but are separate from Russo’s score album.
